Mortal Kombat screenwriter Greg Russo has posted an image of the set to his Twitter account celebrating the start of production, presumably at Adelaide Studios in South Australia where the main leg of production will be taking place.

Actor Lewis Tan recently posted an image of himself with fellow cast members Joe Taslim and Mehcad Brooks along with Russo on his Twitter account.

Here is what the cast looks like.

Lewis Tan possibly playing new character Cole Turner.

Mortal Kombat is produced by Aquaman’s James Wan and is expected to be Hard-R as it will finally give us the signature violent fatalities from the games.

Warner Bros. will be distributing the film and has given it a release date of March 5th, 2021.

Not written or directed by James Wan, so I would hardly call it "his".
