Anthropologist Grover Krantz donated his body to science, with one condition... that his dog would stay close to him, both are now on display at the Smithsonian (Washington, DC. )
My dad's also an anthropologist at the Smithsonian and he's doing this too when he dies. They'll take anyone who works there. They're basically trying to get a whole collection of different types of skeletons, especially ones with different deformities and problems that they can study.
