There is nothing better than your parents approval. I currently feel like a failure at life, but my father and mother still think the world of me. They encourage me and say I am the best thing that ever happened to them. It doesn't matter how low I am. When I hear that from them I can't help, but be happy. I don't think they really understand the impact of their simple words.
reminds me of the time my mom was telling me that her parenting goal while we were growing up was to make us people that other people want to be around, and that she felt like she succeeded :’) for some reason i catch myself thinking about that pretty often
