Jaden Smith's brand JUST will replace 19,000 plastic water bottles with its trademark cartons at this year's ASICS London 10K:

JUST Goods, cofounded by Will Smith and his son Jaden, has partnered with Branson’s Virgin Sport to reduce plastic waste at this weekend’s London 10K. By providing racers with boxed water rather than plastic bottles, the move will eliminate waste from half a million bottles, according to Smith’s post.

The typical single-use plastic bottles handed out on race day will be replaced with JUST water cartons. The cartons are made from 54 percent paper, 28 percent plant-based plastic, 3 percent aluminum, and 15 percent protective film, according to JUST. The cartons also cut down on shipping and emissions. One truck can ship 1.5 million cartons of water, versus the 13 trucks that it would take to ship the same amount of plastic bottles.

I'm going to be completely honest here and say I entirely understand the murdered person's POV here.

I'm sure we're all aware of celebrities punting random crap. It would not be a surprise at all for celebrities to be pushing their own brand of bottled water that's exactly the same as all the rest in the shops.

I am surprised and delighted to be wrong though, and I hope that ethical water can compete with marketed water to the point where it all ends up having to be ethical water.

But really the world is so full of celebrity shit that I don't think it's unforgivable for someone to despair at what they thought was more of it.
