For context this is an activity of my home state's main festival, Onam.
Here they are completing something called pookalam which is floral arrangement of flowers in an aesthetically pleasing manner. There are competitions too on the basis of how beautiful and neat it is..so you will see scenes like this (in an effort to optimize :p)
