This is cool. Some flowers have pigments in them which are affected by the acidity of the soil they're grown in: and you can get some cool patterns by splitting their stems and drawing from two different ares of soil, one more acid and one more alkiline.

I've no idea if this is happening here, or if this is some hybrid or genetic mutation, but it's kinda interesting never the less.

It’s really impressive how well-defined the line for coloration is on that flower, I’d have imagined that it would be more of a gradient than just a straight, well-defined line.

Almost looks painted or possibly wax, but the petal detail looks too good for wax imo
