A little background information worth mentioning here. The students in the photo are from Queen's College 皇仁書院 in HK; my alma mater & proud member from the class of 1983. This top tier school is the oldest continuous operating Anglo-Chinese secondary/high school in all of Asia. Among its notable alumni was Dr. Sun Yat-Sen 孫中山, leader of the revolution overthrow Imperial Qing Dynasty in 1911 that gave rise to modern-day China. He is widely recognized as "Father of the Revolution" by both PRC & ROC.

Makes sense kids are getting involved. They’re the ones who’s democracy is most at stake.
“Authoritarian democracy” will never appeal to anyone whose lived in a free state. China will never take back a willing HK.
