Wawa has an interesting effect on people. The parking lot is like the wild west, trust nobody and kill or be killed. Then you get to the door, and suddenly you're holding it open for that guy that forty seconds ago was threatening to run you over for not crossing fast enough. It's the purest neutral territory in the world, you can't carry your grudges through those doors.
*For those that never heard of Wawa, it's a gas station/mini-mart in the northern Mid-Atlantic region of the US that sells made to order sandwiches on store-baked bread, soups/hot sides, pastries, coffee and coffee like drinks, and just about every soda or snack you'd find at any other gas station. Very busy in the mornings to the point where you might have to circle around three or four times before you find any parking, and to hell with anybody that gets in your way.
