Unfortunately it smells and (urgh) feels like spit. Nobody has been in the house, and I was the first one in the room (carrying my sleepy 3 year old) when I noticed it. She’ll be sleeping in her sisters room tonight until I can give her bedroom a full disinfecting tomorrow!

Could be a snail. They can be known to bubble when agitated or exposed to salt. And if you look closely you can see a trail between the two puddles.
