Another issue I have with this scene, that I've mentioned here before, is that it's never explained why Jon expects to stay in the South long-term here.
It would make sense if he was planning to marry Daenerys, but they never talked about that and the show implied he was uncomfortable with the incest and thus unwilling to continue a romantic/sexual relationship with her. If he isn't going to marry the queen, what reason would the Warden of the North have to stay in KL after the war is over?
