I had my babies in the last decade, maybe pumps have come on since then, but my pump always sounded like milking time in the cattle shed x 1000. Nothing quiet or dignified about it. It was hard to feel maternally graceful and nurturing when you were attached to a machine going NYURCHNYURCHNYURCH.
EDIT: So apparently I can remember the sound a breast pump made after 15 years, with perfect accuracy...however I’ll struggle to tell you how old I am without thinking about it for a bit.
Why does everything have to have an LED on it these days? I turn out the lights in my living room and it looks like Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
EDIT: I know I can block out the lights with electrical tape. I'm asking why 90% of those lights need to exist to begin with.

You look disappointed, but you still look pumped.
