It a tough one this election. I said I would vote conservative if they took a real stance on the environment. Then some conservative on CBC starts saying global warming isn’t a consensus because only 97% of scientists agree and people get it confused with weather. Yup it’s true 3% of scientist don’t agree its human caused but that is saying 97% of experts say we should reduce our carbon footprint but hey there’s a small Chance they are wrong. So fuck it don’t worry be happy and who’s needs the Paris agreement. It was at that moment they lost my vote.

I guess part of me wants to vote against the conservatives as they have the most blind party loyalty which really decays the foundation of democracy. So many boomers just think vote right. Money and business viability are good but there needs to be a balance. When on one hand you have a party with climate change deniers that’s like electing a flat earther to run the show.

Sure Trudeau has some issues and SNC Lavalin shit is shady but too many conservatives go spouting off about how he is an idiot and slimy guy blah blah blah. I get confused by this because most conservative platforms is all about back room deals to keep big business afloat.

I also don’t agree with lower taxes and deregulating things. Taxes are important if you look at the Scandinavian welfare systems they are doing great with some of the highest quality of life indexes in the world. Also high as fuck taxes. People there understand taxes help their fellow man that’s the point. In North America everyone bitches about taxes it’s tiring and idiotic.

On the topic of deregulating or cutting the red tape. It’s sure a pain in the ass and the government makes any procedure very painful. However there are more and more people just doing stupider and stupider things. My neighbour was surprised he needed a building permit to build his deck. He was also surprised it needed footings. We need building permits so people who don’t know what the fuck they are doing don’t build things that fall down, decay prematurely, and function like they are supposed to. We are a G7 country and we can afford things like that just maybe have to forgo the vacation or the new car.

Long story short why would I vote for a party who keeps spouting the same old schtick like the price of gas! If the cost of living is so high because of your gas bill going up 10 cent get a bike. We got bigger issues like the growing bottom class, global warming, and the rising cost of education to name a couple.

“One of the worries for the Liberal government is we had an increase in voter turnout last time, particularly among young people, and a lot of that was for hope, optimism, a new way of doing things,” he said.

He ain't no Obama. The election had high turnout because people wanted to stop Harper, not because they were moved by the sunny ways of Justin.
