I wasn’t allowed to play much, so usually I woke up earlier than everyone and played on the PS1 with the sound on mute for a couple of hours. Until I got caught.
This was me when AOL first came out. I would wait until everyone had gone to bed and then get online and play games and chat with friends and hilariously my grandma (my mother’s mother. She just passed away this year so I cherish this memory ) she would always be up and I’d see her little icon online and get STOKED ahaha. Then my mom would rush in my room (why they thought my room was the ideal spot for the computer idk but it eventually got moved because I’d always be up on it instead of asleep lol.) and I’d be wearing that exact same face hah. When my mom caught me talking to my grandma at two in the morning she was so mad at first and then busted out laughing when she realized it was her mother I was talking to, and we were talking about baking cookies and having a Disney movie marathon the next time I came over . I remember a couple of our conversations so clearly. That one in particular. I guess because it was one of the first times I was caught. Though I do remember always signing on and messaging her saying “grandma what are you doing up so late?!” And she would always reply “playing Tetris.” Lol. Sorry for the rambling rant. Once I started typing I couldn’t stop.
