China is already blaming the US domestically for funding the demonstrations and causing it. Honestly if the US publicly condemned China for this currently it would give Xi more ammo to use against them from the mainland population.
I don't know what the answer is, but it's not easy either way.

China's already face catalogued you; they've bought the data from Facebook at a minimum, and dark web copies of the DMV and such are possible too.
