I was once in a GameStop buying a game, and a kid came in with his mom. He picked up a copy of gta5 and took it to the counter, where his mom asked the sales associate "Is this the kind of game a 10 year old should be playing?". He then proceeded to point out the M rating, and talked about the reasoning behind it. The mom said "... I don't know...", to which the kid replied "If you don't let me get it, I'll just play it at Gabe's house". She just shrugged her shoulders and bought it for him.
The most odd thing that always annoys me, studies found that most violent acts spawned from video game are rooted in sport games like FIFA, Madden, and... Mario Kart.

Yeah I didn’t even really play cod till I was 14 and gta till I was 15. Only M game I played really was Halo when I was younger, like 7
