Last Feb. after a postal worker died of heat exhaustion, congressman Tony Cárdenas (D-CA) introduced a bill; "To require any delivery vehicle owned or leased by the United States Postal Service have an air conditioning unit...". The bill is still in committee.
EDIT: It has been pointed out that my wording is a bit confusing, so to be clear, the postal worker died July 6, 2018, a day that temperatures soared to 117 degrees, the bill was introduced in Feb. 2019 ~ Thanks to NZBound11 and gman4757

Same thing with our work trucks, we work outside all day and no AC to catch a break in for 5 minutes. It sucks big time.
