I remember I was in elementary school in like, 4th grade and the teachers gathered all the students in several rooms to watch the towers fall live because it was an important part of history.
The next day or few days like that the teachers assistants pulled students one by one to click through someone online slideshow of photographs and allowed us to ask questions if we didn’t understand what was happening.
Still boggles my mind that a majority of the school system thought it was a good idea to have K-5th graders watch and hear the screams and visuals of dying New Yorkers.
