Experienced something like this with Kingdom Hearts: The Story so Far. Planned to play through the games again before 3 came out.
Between having less time to play and my gaming preferences changing, I didn’t get past Olympus in the first game. May get back to it some day and go through the exact same thing all over again. Might be my retirement goal.
