“I’m disappointed in this weekend’s untrue, unfair, and un-American attack,’’ the former Republican governor from California told Politico in an email. “It is hateful, it is crude, and it is divisive.”

The action movie star and immigrant to the United States added that “America has always been about where you are going, not where you come from. That’s what drew me and millions of other proud, contributing Americans to the greatest country in the world to realize our dreams.”

Schwarzenegger has a bitter relationship with Trump, as the two have battled through interviews and social media posts for much of Trump's presidency. Schwarzenegger succeeded Trump as the host of NBC's "Celebrity Apprentice," which the president mocked for having smaller ratings than when he led the show.

The two have also battled over a range of policies, including climate change.

It's funny how he tells them to go back to their own country, yet apparently three of them were born here in America. So what he's basically saying is for them to go back to America, even though they're already there.

I always liked Arnold. Seems like a genuinely good person no matter what
