Speaking to a therapist is totally normal and necessary for a lot of people, I hope people and even OP don’t think that going to a therapist will make someone seem less masculine or something.
Btw ‘macho’ is different from ‘masculine’, at least to me.
Only when I was actively trying to change myself and my behavior for the better following this type of advice I realized how much others try to drag you down and take offense in it. Immediately stigmatized as a whiny, emotional pussy for trying to be a human being. Ain’t no rest for the dicked.
