I work in construction. 1st and 2nd year apprentices don't make all that much and tools are expensive. It's pretty common to pass down older tools to those guys.
I had a super tiny tv in my sewing room when my sons best friend saw it he brought me a very large tv he had in his garage that he wasn’t using. He brought it over and set it all up saying “Ms. Quiltsohard don’t need to be staining her eyes”. Super sweet and so unexpected.
Can confirm. My homie wanted to play a video game with me and I told him I’d have to wait tell next pay check. Within 15 minutes I get an email saying I was gifted the game from said homie. Thanked him a bunch and he said no problem let’s have some fun.
Another homie randomly bought me a new computer case because mine wasn’t super great. Randomly orders it and tells me it’s in the mail.
Moral of the story? I got some homies to hook up once money is a little better.
