Sat with my sneakers up close to a campfire once. At the point where my right foot was getting a little toasty, I looked down and noticed the sole had expanded to about two or three times it's original size. Thankfully I kicked it off before it melted to my foot, but the sole didn't quite return to normal size.

Now you have to do the same thing with your foot. Either that or buy new shoes but who wants to go out to the store these days
