Pretty sure that having you not read them is the point. They're deliberately dense and long so you can't really understand what you're signing up for, since in some places terms of services can actually override things that are generally considered as consumer rights.

Sometims programs make you scroll to the end of the ToS before you can continue. The End key is really helpful then.
