Pretty sure God could alter DNA as he wished to “fix” the issue. Saying humans can engage in activities that God is incapable of retconning goes against the entirety of their beliefs. Amazing how often this sentiment comes up though in their arguments about why things should/should not happen.
Amazing that we have no idea what "a soul" is nor how it's supposed to work, yet "satanic scientists" know perfectly how to genetically manipulate it out of our systems.
