Between 1989 to 2015, authorities while investigating other male teen kidnappings discovered clues that Danny Heinrich had kidnapped and murdered Jacob and kidnapped and sexually assaulted others. In September 2016, Heinrich led authorities to Jacob's body and clothing, 30 miles from the abduction site.
