Last week, as I was finishing up a couple weeks photographing the southwest, I visited Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness for the first time. I'd had this place on my photography bucket list for 2 years - and this time I finally made it!

Vermilion cliffs wilderness is made up of a few different prominent areas, the most famous of which being "The Wave". Although most people come to the area for that formation, there are plenty others in the area, and after missing out on The Wave lottery last week, I decided to hit up this area just outside of the South Coyote Buttes area.

I ended up spending 2 nights here, wandering around, taking pictures, and overall having a great time. This was my second and final sunset, when I found these neat water pools and rocks that looked like nice cauliflower.

I spend a ton of time around the national parks and other public land doing my best to document the places that we, as a country, have decided to protect. If you want to check out some of my work online, my website is morgantuohy.com and some other work can be found on instagram at @morgan.tuohy!
