Before I got my new car I read up on Sirius and found that the best thing to use to pay the bill is a Sirius gift card which I bought at Best Buy. They come in $50 amounts so the most they can screw me on is the balance left on the card. I like the service but won't pay the $15.00 a month so I call just before the 5 month subscription ends and get another 5 months at about $6 a month.

They just want to haggle with you and pressure you into not cancelling.
I'm guessing it's also so you don't have a written record of cancelling and they can keep charging you if they feel like it.
