Combined, my gf and I make $24/hr. We share a one bedroom apartment and we scrape by, saving maybe $100/mo for disasters. Every time we save over 400, something happens that drains our account again, whether it be a medical issue, a broken appliance, car maintenance, etc. and all we want is a vacation. I think if she ever told me she was pregnant I would have a squidward style breakdown.

Edit: I knew what was coming when I posted this. I knew I'd be called a lazy piece of shit, I knew I'd be told how stupid I am, and I knew I'd be told to learn a trade. What I didn't expect was some of the warmth I got from you guys. This is a good community here. I know we'll pull through eventually. And to anybody in a similar situation right now, just remember this:

"If you believe in yourself, and with a tiny pinch a magic, all your dreams can come true."

Girlfriend and I both got masters in healthcare related fields. Our pool of debt is so deep I often question why either of us even went college in the first place. The idea that you have to have a degree is a fucking lie reinforced by the failure of public education and high school degrees now being pointless.

I wish it was only $30,000!
