I swear, there were points where it looked like he had tears in his eyes. You could just tell how much he was truly enjoying himself. It was beautiful! It was also interesting to see how intimate and intense a game of D&D between just two people would be.
It was also really fun to hear him compare the versions of D&D he played as a kid with fifth edition. Now I just wonder how long it will be before he shows up on Critical Role. 😄
The best part was the very end where Stephen stood up and genuinely thanked Matt for the experience. You could tell it brought back so many good memories and remind him of simpler times when he was a young nerd.
