Your business becomes my business when I have to pay for your business. As long as you are a self sufficient, independent adult, most of what you do is your business.
The problem is that you really can’t ”shut the hell up about it” if a lot of people still don’t want to accept you.
As annoying as many people find LGBT movements, think about how different it was 10 years ago. That only changed because it got pulled into the spotlight.
And clearly it still hasn’t had full effect. A huge chunk of Alabama apparently still wants them to stay in the closet and never be seen/heard. Conversion therapy is still widespread in parts of the south.
For a gay/bisexual kid growing up in a socially conservative area and dealing with internal shame and self hatred, it is extremely beneficial for activists to spread awareness and not shut up about it. What’s the downside, it annoys you? Alright, well the plus side definitely outweighs that.
