Even as adults, Holland lops look like god damned stuffed toys. Mine is so smart, she always follows me around and gets mad if I don’t pet her enough. She knows several tricks (such as “jump”, “turn around” and “stand up”) and runs back to her litter when she feels like she needs to go. She knows where she’s not allowed to go (notably behind the couch where a couple of cables are hanging out) and will avoid those places unless she’s purposefully trying to piss me off because I said no to her begging for fruit. She jumps on the couch and sits on my lap as I watch TV. She purrs when I rub her jaw and flops on her side to hug me closer when I’m sitting on my bed. I bought a rabbit expecting a not-so-smart but adorable fluff ball but I got something completely different. Rabbits are widely underrated because people keep them in small habitats 24/7 which doesn’t allow them to show their incredible personalities. Seriously, if you have some time to spare for care but can’t get a dog you should absolutely consider a bun. Be sure to get them neutered and only adopt them from shelter or extremely reputable breeders though.
