I doubt anyone today would blindly buy a $1000 iPhone on the fly without knowing there is a notch. Who exactly are they deceiving? The product is everywhere, mainstream as hell and for anyone who is willing to pay that, they'd go for Apple regardless so it's really not that big a deal.
