One of the coolest things about Peter was that he was an active member of the Star Wars community on reddit. He would just pop in and make someone’s day by complementing them on their costume or funny comment. He will be missed.

When I met him he was a bit gruff and crabby. A decade later, when I had become a Redditor, I PM'd him and said that I was happy he had embraced his fandom and was happy. He messaged me back with a long apology for his behavior, talking about how frustrated he was with parts of his life, and expressing his joy at where he was at that point. I had a couple small conversations with him, saw him again at a con, he was just a sweet and loving man.
Goodbye Peter. No one will ever be able to replace you. Thank you for being the wonderful Star Wars dork that you were, and for the sweet way you interacted with your fans. We all love you.
