The actual box office earning numbers for Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame are finally in via BoxOfficeMojo and it looks like Disney was off $7 million when it comes to the domestic opening for the film as it earned a record-smashing $357.1 million. It officially has made $100 million more than Avengers: Infinity War did last year during its domestic opening.

Avengers: Endgame has made a massive $1.223 billion globally from the first couple of days of release and will easily cross the $2 billion dollar mark. How much more business the film will do before the May releases start to kick-in and takeover screens remains to be seen.

The second and third weekends would likely determine how close it could come to taking the all-time box office crown. As it stands today, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has earned a staggering $19.8 billion over 22 films.

Adrift in space with no food or water, Tony Stark sends a message to Pepper Potts as his oxygen supply starts to dwindle. Meanwhile, the remaining Avengers — Thor, Black Widow, Captain America and Bruce Banner — must figure out a way to bring back their vanquished allies for an epic showdown with Thanos — the evil demigod who decimated the planet and the universe.

Even beyond the money, the very idea of making 22 semi-related films that all converge to a single point is mindblowing. That, more than the dollar amount, is what made film history here. It is the culmination of the most sprawling project in the history of film.

On Saturday & Sunday in /r/boxoffice we had 1.1M page views and 1,431 new subscribers combined. On non-CBM release weekends we average like 75-150 new subscribers and maybe 100k-125k page views.

Endgame is out here breaking all the records.

$7M more domestic and $23M more worldwide than initially reported.

It's just $500K off from beating the previous domestic opening record holder (Infinity War at $257.6M) by $100M! Insane. Also now with these adjusted figures it is in fact then 17th highest grossing film of all time after just 5 days of worldwide release.
