I have been hospitalized in a psych ward 4 times in my adult life, and I met good people there. I’m not sure of what people’s concept is of what it’s like in a psych ward, but it’s mostly folks who are desperate to get better and have been able to admit to themselves that they’re too messed up to do it without help. I have zero shame about it and am grateful for the help I got.
