Membership in U.S. churches has hit an all-time low, according to a recent Gallup poll.

Gallup found that just 50% of people who were surveyed were members of a church, mosque or synagogue, according to The Hill.

Church membership was above 70% from 1937 to 1976, Gallup says, falling to 68% in the late 1970s through the 1990s.

Gallup found that 19% of Americans have no religious affiliation, up from 8% in 2000.

A total of 2,000 adults were surveyed. The poll has a 3% margin of error.

Unfortunately, religiously aggressive people are becoming more religiously aggressive. Mandatory religion, combined with their "my religion is better than your religion" and "you're gonna get religion whether you like it or not!" attitudes are still prevalent in many parts of the world.
