In just about every country on earth it’s expected and normal for family to rely on each other. For some reason we have an aversion to this in the US. I really try to help my kids now and I hope they return the favor later.

When these young people get old they won't have retirement savings either. It'll probably end up being a big issue in 50 years.

But the thing is in most Asian families kids and parents live together or in the same neighborhood well into their 30s and the whole family helps each other out financially. So idk if this study factored in stuff like that.
