i cannot stand james, but i would like to point out that the 'report' and 'not interested' options don't apply to any of the trending videos. the 2 side-by-side screenshots make it clear that the 6 months old video on the left is from the OP's home page (which is where videos are recommended and hence the users can choose whether they are interested in the recommendations or not). however, james charles' video on the right is his latest upload and is from the trending page which logically only features 'new' trending videos. so yeah.

You can't report videos that are in trending, presumably because YouTube has already looked at them, and "Not interested" only applies to videos and channels that YouTube has put in your suggested. You can't go to trending or search specifically for a video and then hit "not interested". Even if you search for something like "reeeeeeee", you won't be able to hit "not interested"

It's not a James Charles thing.

OP you severely cropped and misrepresented what's going on.

This is the menu from your home page.

This is the menu from the trending page.

This is the menu from the actual video.

Yes it sucks you can't report a trending video from the trending page and that is a weird flaw. BUT you can still report video, even YouTube Originals and other company videos.

Note: I am on the YouTube Android App. Yes I pay for premium. Please don't judge my suggested videos.
