Speaking of POS 911 operators....

In my state, we had a story a few years ago where a teen boy was shot in a drive by shooting. The teen girl who called 911 was panicked (understandably) and cussed at the operator a few times while trying to render aid to her friend. The dispatcher just said “deal with this yourself” and hung up. His license was revoked and he quit after the 911 call was released, but then he managed to get a job as a firefighter in a different county. Someone in a higher up position made the comment that the guy had obviously shown he couldn’t handle high stress situations, dude got fired, and now he’s suing for “wrongful termination”.

Isn't it procedure to send someone out even if it seems like a prank call?

It’s sad that a child who needed it couldn’t get help, but the kid who called 911 asking for someone to bring him McDonalds got a Happy Meal.
