Mueller report busts Sarah Sanders for telling blatant lies to America to defend Trump

Special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into obstruction of justice by President Donald Trump and his administration revealed that White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told investigators she had lied to the American people about the firing of FBI Director James Comey.

The revelation appears on page 72 of the second volume of the Mueller report.

After Trump fired Comey, Sanders tried to justify the decision by claiming “the rank and file of the FBI had lost confidence in their director.”

When interviewed by investigators, Sanders said her claim was a “slip of the tongue.”

“She also recalled that her statement in a separate press interview that rank-and-file FBI agents had lost confidence in Comey was a comment she made ‘in the heat of the moment’ that was not founded on anything,” Mueller wrote.

Sanders herself has admitted that such conduct is inappropriate.

Is it illegal?

If not, does the next President just straight up lie about everything and it's now normal?

Imagine if people could be held responsible for lying to the public at large from an official podium
