A New Jersey man accused of sexually assaulting a teenage waitress at his own wedding in Pennsylvania last fall appeared in court Thursday with his wife.
A judge upheld charges of of false imprisonment, corruption of minors, indecent assault and indecent exposure against Matthew Aimers, 31, of Willingboro, according to court records.
Charges of harassment, terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness that followed an alleged fight at the conclusion of the reception have been withdrawn by prosecutors.
Aimers’ attorney told reporters outside court on Thursday his client is innocent of the charges.
“If that young man committed a crime at his reception, Dr. Phil couldn’t fix his marriage,” attorney Louis Busico said. “The fact that she’s with him tells you he’s an innocent man.”
NBCNewYork.com reported the judge cleared the Bucks County courtroom in an attempt to protect the identity of the alleged victim. Earlier, Aimers and his wife were holding hands as they walked from the parking to to the courthouse.
The young server rejected Aimers’ repeated advances at the Nov. 25 wedding at Northampton Valley Country Club in Richboro, officials said. After asking her to “go outside and make out,” Aimers later allegedly offered her $100. Later, he followed her into the women’s bathroom where he pulled her into an empty stall, exposed himself and sexually assaulted her, according to a criminal affidavit.
Aimers was also in the middle of a fight that broke out near the conclusion of the reception when an employee told him he couldn’t bring alcohol outside, police said at the time. He punched the worker and then got into a scrum with police when he ignored an officer’s commands while attempting to board a shuttle bus, authorities said.

I used to be a wedding DJ. I’ve seen some shit. Had a best man call the brides mom a cunt which then started a fight, ending with the bride crying in the bathroom while everyone else went to the bar downstairs. Had a drunk bridesmaid hitting on me, and then her boyfriend wanted to beat me up for it (I just laughed her off). He had to get taken from the reception hall. Had a girl fall off a table onto her head and when EMS showed up I was told not to stop playing. Had a drunk dude have a heart attack then refused to leave with the paramedics. So many stupid drunk shenanigans
