Had the opposite of that happen to me...I was on a date when I had my card declined twice, then my other card was also declined. Date offered to pay and his card cleared right away. Embarrassed, I made a comment about maybe my identity was stolen or something and the cashier says loudly, "No, it doesn't work like that, you just need to check your balance." Thanks, dude.
Called both banks and they said my accounts and cards were fine, had enough money, not sure what happened. 😐
