I worked with a dude who had a peanut allergy. One week this new woman brought in some cookies for the office and he asked if they were safe to eat with his allergy. She said "Yeah they're fine, they don't have peanuts..." Dude gets the cookie to his mouth before she finishes her sentence "... Just peanut butter."
She 100% believed peanut butter was a wholly different substance from peanuts. Had to Google it to prove it to her.
