used to play yugioh and there was one guy there that legitimately smelled and looked and smelled like he hadn't showered for a year, you could smell him upstairs if you were downstairs

I used to work security at a convention center. It didn't matter if it was a table top convention, pinball, comic con... There would always be this gross smell on that whole floor of the building. It was gross. And if it was a table top convention we would count how many butt cracks we would see. Ew. Just, ew.

It’s like that for Pokémon tournaments too. Officials and store owners now carry deodorant and other hygiene products at the ready. One guy who posts in a Facebook group I’m a part of owns a store that holds tournaments and pre release events and he has a sign he puts on the door that says “no shirt no shoes no deodorant no tournament.” He also carries aerosol deodorant and febreze and has sprayed players before. It’s terrible when a whole bunch of players, including kids and their parents, are forced so sit in a room with stanky ass players.
