Having a close family member do this sort of work, it is a blessing that he has the ability to work. It really enriched his life. It’s just assembling boxes that probably wouldn’t otherwise merit a job but it’s everything to him.
This is a grey area there is a huge spectrum of disability. I worked with a girl who came in once a week for 6 hours. She was severely mentally and physically disabled but she would come in and fold letters and stamp envelopes.
She did it slowly but she earned $12 AUD an hour which is well below a legal wage and her Mum had a chance to run errands because she was a full time cater.

This is misleading, this was posted by a BBC reporter for a radio debate, as opposed to a nutter being anti-disabled people.
