I believe this after watching a hawk chase a raven in a huge circle for an hour after what I assume was the raven being caught messing with the hawks nest of eggs/chicks. Neither one of those birds was giving up. The raven fleeing, the hawk pulling all sorts of wacky air maneuvers to try and catch the raven.
I work as a circulation manager for the local newspaper and part of my job is to deliver paper routes that dont have a full time carrier. Last summer I was driving back from delivering a route that was several miles outside town and a small bird (not sure what kind) got sucked into my open window as it flew by. Its head collided with my head right near my temple and it landed dead in the backseat. I killed a bird with the side of my head.
