This shit happened in my home state and we still have no clue wtf happened. Like they reported it as a scuffle. I’ve never seen a fucking scuffle where a child dies, y’all mf need to tell the truth. They owe the parents at least that much.

Edit: I just want to clarify that I am student teaching and the university I attend is the original teaching college for SC. Even then, they can’t prepare you for everything, especially two 11 year olds fighting. But they are still children and honestly proximity is the best method for derailing any kind of unwanted behavior. Sure they probably could have started fighting even if a teacher is close by, but they could be right there to stop it immediately. If I was the parent of this child, I would want to know if there was anything that could have been done to prevent it. If the child had a condition that was triggered because of a scuffle, then yes it’ll be heart breaking, but it’s better to know that she didn’t die because of someone’s negligence. I never meant kids can’t get into a fight and die, but it’s just weird how this happened in my state and it’s been so down played and reported for like one day and that was it.

There's a video on r/PublicFreakOut that's a Dad yelling at a school over LOSING his 4/5 year old daughter for the 3RD or 4TH time after telling her to get on the wrong bus/ switching her to another bus. The administration was defensive and said something along the lines of "your child isn't our priority/ concern once they're on the bus". We need to investigate incidents like these further than a local news article

This is my home state, i live near the area. I listened to the latest press briefing on the radio yesterday. Here's what I remember.

There is an ongoing investigation. Allegations that this is going unnoticed are false.

The "scuffle" was essentially nothing. She didnt hit her head (arrording to eyewitnesses). Neither kid was injured. She began vomiting in the principals office some time afterward and then died.

The reason they have not come up with a reason for her death is that they don't know. It seems like a medical anomaly of some sort.

I encourage everyone to be patient and wait for the coroner's report. This is a horrible tragedy, but speculation and rumor aren't helping.
