Officially announced last week, Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter will reunite in Hammerstone Studios and Orion’s Bill & Ted 3: Face the Music, set for release next year. And the official Twitter account for the film has confirmed today that William Sadler is joining them!

Sadler played the Grim Reaper in 1991 sequel Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, and he’ll be reprising the role in the new film. Just last year, Sadler had noted that he’d love to return.

“Following 1989’s Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and 1991’s Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, the stakes are higher than ever for William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. (Winter) and Theodore “Ted” Logan (Reeves). Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure, when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it and bring harmony to the universe. Along the way, they will be helped by their families, old friends and a few music legends.”

Production begins this summer on the new film, directed by Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest) from a screenplay by original Bill & Ted writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon.

Bill & Ted will return on August 21, 2020!

The best Death joke in the movie is in the credits.

"I didn't know I could run that fast."

[Bill and Ted take up Death's challenges, with one game being Clue]

Ted: What's he doing?

Bill: I don't know.

Death: I believe Colonel Mustard did it in the study with a candlestick.

Bill: [Opens case envelope and shows card] Sorry, Death. You lose. [shows card] It was Professor Plum. Death: I said "Plum".

Ted: [stands in protest] No way. You said "Mustard"! Can we go back now?

Death: Best 3 out of 5.

Ted: [angry] I don't believe this guy!
