I refuse to believe even a thief could be that heartless. I'll keep my fingers crossed for her.

Edit: i feel like I should clarify i have no sympathy for the thief. I know how things are. I'm sure the hair was in a box of other keepsakes and taken without immediate knowledge because it's not like the thief wants to hang around long. I'm just trying to be hopeful that they'll see an article, and maybe hopefully return it. The thief is still a shit human being, but could at least a tiny shred of compassion. It's not like it's a 100 year old bar of gold, it's a baby's hair.

The hair was in her purse and the thief stole the purse. Still a piece of shit but they didn’t intentionally take the hair. Hopefully they’ll send it back.

"Kirsty Baldwin's daughter Ellie Louise died suddenly six years ago of bronchial pneumonia and she had kept the hair in her handbag, which was stolen at a motorway service station.

The bag was taken from her car in front of her at Birch Services on the eastbound M62 in Greater Manchester.

She said he opened the passenger door before she could lock it and grabbed the handbag.

The designer bag contained a tablet computer, a large amount of Euros in cash, a purse containing the lock of Ellie Louise's blonde hair laminated on a card."
