My shot of the "Super Worm Moon" the other night. The clouds broke just long enough for me to get this. This is a composite- I used different settings for the clouds and the moon, but this is very close to how it looked through the eyepiece of my telescope.
Equipment:
Orion XT10
Skywatcher eq6-r pro
ZWO asi 224mc
Sony a7ii
Process:
Clouds, moon position and orientation captured with the Sony, Detail on the lunar surface captured with the zwo and aligned with the Sony data and added as an HDR layer. Minor contrast/color adjustments in photoshop.
You have my blessing to use this as a wallpaper if you like it. For any other use please DM me.
That's amazing. The more I zoom in, the sharper the details become. I feel like if there wasn't a limit on how much I could zoom in on the picture I would have zoomed all the way down to the surface and have a Google maps POV of the moon.
